2025: A Year to Be Proud Of
On November 13, we celebrated our year-end All Hands meeting in an atmosphere full of energy, recognition, and a deep sense of belonging. With a holiday theme—the second favorite in our internal survey!—the event brought together hundreds of BBVA Technology América employees at the Parques BBVA auditorium, CPD Lago Esmeralda, and via live streaming from home.
The event was hosted by Andoni Mújica and Helda Lemus, who guided us through an emotional and dynamic day filled with strategic reflections, panels featuring leaders from various areas, and, above all, recognition for every single person who made this great year possible. Our CEO, Robert Altes, kicked off the session with a powerful message: “BTA is a global strategic lever for the BBVA Group.” With a presence in 14 geographies, services extended across 13 business verticals, and a headcount that has practically doubled over the last three years, 2025 was undoubtedly a spectacular year for BTA.
The event then moved into the Company Evolution segment, hosted by our colleagues Mirna Segura, Nadia Guzmán, Ana Paula Arguero, and Montserrat Guerrero. They highlighted the execution of major initiatives like Project Evolution, which marked BTA’s expansion beyond the tech sector through the creation of new hubs and strategic services for the Group.
We also got to know the new leaders of key areas, including Nick Sinilov (Risk), Miriam Cortés (Global Operations), and David Paredes (Quantitative Business Solutions), who shared how they are shaping the future of operations from the Americas with scalable solutions, a global vision, and local talent.
Later, we held a series of panel discussions with leaders from Infrastructure & Operations, Architecture, Corporate Security, Development, Strategy & Governance, Finance, and Talent & Culture, among others. Together, we revisited the year’s most significant achievements: from strengthening operational resilience to migrating to platforms like ADA, and consolidating new models for governance, hiring, and training. Phrases such as “Resilience is no longer a goal; it’s a mindset” and “We are a team that doesn’t wait for change, we drive it” resonated deeply among attendees, reminding us that the true value of what we do lies in our people.
2026: A Year to Keep Growing
The closing of the event projected us toward an ambitious 2026: more countries, more business lines, more talent, and greater impact. Key strategic focuses were highlighted, including solid governance, operational efficiency, responsible autonomy, digital transformation, change management, and service excellence. All of this came with a clear message: growth is possible because we are ready to take it on together.
